| Description |
Master feature flag for the Staged Alters subsystem. Default: true.
When enabled, eligible schema changes (column adds, table extensions) are applied in a dedicated scheduled job ahead of the "family" upgrade window (e.g., B → C), in an attempt to shorten the upgrade itself. The job runs only when several conditions hold: the upgrade is a family upgrade (unless glide.staged_upgrade.all_upgrade_types.enabled is also true), the DBI is supported and no prior Staged Alters run for that version is in progress, complete, or errored.
When disabled, schema alters only run inline during the upgrade as before. |
